The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club, Cambridge, Ontario is the largest youth indoor and beach volleyball club in the Waterloo Region and surrounding area. There has been a tremendous demand to increase programs for youth. The club just completed a four week Boys Development Program. They are announcing a 4 week indoor girls program to meet the demand. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Program will be hosting a Supergirls Development Program for 4 weeks; April 23rd, 30th, May 7th and 14th at Southwood Secondary School, 30 Southwood Drive, Cambridge, ON The fee is $60.00 for the four 1.5 hour sessions. and includes a SUPERGIRLS t-shirt. Coaches from our competitive teams will run each session. 12:30pm-2:00pm Born 2010-2011-2012 2:15-3:45pm - Born 2009-2008 The program will be run by our competitive team coaches. On March 26th, 2022 the Scorpions Volleyball Club hosted a successful tournament in Ayr, Ontario for 13u and 12u girls teams. The tournament was organized mainly by Scorpions Coach Sarah Holmes with support from Coach Renee Michiels.

Thanks to the North Dumfries Community Complex for hosting the Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club Tournament. The Scorpions Youth Volleyball Club has started registration for their giant summer beach program. Their youth beach volleyball program will he held three nights at the Shade's Mills Conservation Area in Cambridge and on Tuesdays at the North Dumfries Community Complex in Ayr, Ontario.
The adult co-ed recreational beach volleyball will be held on Wednesday nights at the North Dumfries Community Complex in Ayr, Ontario. The Scorpions youth competitive beach duos program has been announced. The club will be announcing soon, their grass and beach volleyball tournaments as well as their Commit to Beach Weekend. We anticipate that this upcoming spring and summer beach outdoor and indoor Scorpions volleyball programs will be our biggest ever. Kids and parents want to get out of the house and play volleyball and we want to meet that need. The Scorpions club is looking to grow our volunteer base to ensure we can meet these upcoming demands. The fee is $50.00 for the four 1.5 hour sessions. Phil Kingswood & Michelle Wobst from our Scorpions 16U Boys competitive team will be the lead coaches during the sessions. The Boys Development Clinics is open to all boys born; 2013-2009. We follow all public health guidelines regarding masking and vaccination. QR codes must be shown for those required by provincial regulations. Masks are required to be worn on the court. This past weekend, they hosted their first Snow Volleyball festival in Cambridge. Youth ages 12-18 enjoyed the experience of playing volleyball outdoors in the winter.
The Scorpions have announced Scorpions Snow Volleyball Festival II for this weekend on Saturday, January 29th in Ayr, Ontario. The event will be held at the North Dumfries Community Complex at 2850 Greenfield Road. The Scorpions Volleyball Club is very proud to announce that Brooklyn Gallant and Kristina Hode have agreed to coach the Scorpions 16U Stingers competitive team.
Paul Langan, Club Founder, states, " Brooklyn is one our original players from the first year the club in 2010. It is great to see what she is achieving in her life. Brooklyn has agreed to coach to give back to the community she grew up in, and that is fantastic news for our club. Kristina Hode will be an excellent assistant as she brings the passion that is so needed to make a team successful." Here is background information on Brooklyn and Kristina. Head Coach Brooklyn Gallant - Played on the first Scorpions club competitive team in 2010 which claimed a provincial medal at the club's inaugural appearance - Played Scorpions competitive beach volleyball duos with Kate Langan. Notably in 2013, they won a gold and silver medal in two tournaments in one weekend playing on the California Youth Beach Volleyball Tour. - Played 5 Years on the Varsity Team for the University of Waterloo. - MSc Physiotherapy Candidate at McMaster University - Currently works at the U of Guelph Assistant Coach Kristina Hode Kristina is a Kinesiology graduate and brings experience from her many years of playing at recreational, high school and competitive volleyball levels. She also has 6 years of experience as a referee, and continues to be active in the volleyball community. She is looking forward to sharing her passion for volleyball through coaching.
